This section describes the Sporting Mk2 Cortinas assembled in the Australian, New Zealand and South African plants.
The car assemblies and components were made as fully knocked-down kits in Dagenham, and shipped out to their respective countries where they were assembled, using some local parts (mainly trim).
And it gets complicated! Whist the GT was in pretty standard form for the Series 1 cars for all three territories, the Series 2 cars spawned several variations of the GT and 1600E, with some crossover between the territories.
